Benchmark

Wednesday, July 28th, 2010

We can us the benchmark again – the overflows are opened! If this isn’t the worst year on the San, I don’t want to see a worse one.

Rain – hurray!

Sunday, July 25th, 2010

We haven’t seen rain lately – here it is! River level rose, some local floods happened on little streams. Temperatures are exceeding 13 degrees…

Oh, did I say I’m happy to be away? :-)

Stable weather and river level.

Sunday, July 18th, 2010

Some passing showers didn’t spoil the water, fishing is better now than any other time this year. Of course just when I’m away! Oh why am I away? – because normally this time of year the fishing is bad or very bad! This year it had to be good – everything is wrong this year!

River dropped

Tuesday, July 13th, 2010

Just the day I left on holidays. Thank you lovely weather and dam (n) operators!

Of course

Thursday, July 8th, 2010

it couldn’t last long it was too good to be true in this horrible year. It started raining yesterday and didn’t stop for 24 hours. Obviously river coloured and soon after the nice day started, they opened the gates at the power plant which obviously killed the fishing. grrrrrrr….

Huchen on dry

Tuesday, July 6th, 2010

Hey, good things happen this year – I took a baby huchen (44 cm) on a… size 17 dry fly – a caddis! Thanks for the picture and witnessing Neil – noone would believe me in that!

Fish & Fly

Monday, July 5th, 2010

The Fish and Fly group started their week quite well with a good day fishing, Neil got the biggest grayling of the planet.

OK'ish

Saturday, July 3rd, 2010

River is nice and low, fish more active, weather is nice…

Bit better

Thursday, July 1st, 2010

Fishing was a bit better today, fish more active and finally the water level dropped. Charlie got a decent size trout, well over 50 cm. Hope that continues for a moment.
