The river got back to low and clear, weather is beautifull, but catching fish is so hard! I think the swing of weather successfully blocked them in their holes.

Third this year trip to the Dunajec river – we are exploring a potentially new destination. The river surprised us each time with great amount of brown trout, this time we had some reasonable grayling as well. The wading is very hard and even dangerous. The only thing that spoiled our stay was the amount of rubbish found around us. We will reapeat these trips constantly, contact us if you want to participate.
It rains non stop since Monday and finally the river got unfishable. It won’t clear in next few days. The forecast is not good, they anounce rain till half of the week. It is horribly cold – only 8 degrees, down to 4 at night. 5 centimeters of snow covers the upper parts of the mountains. What is that???
Paul Procter’s report: Despite a sudden drop in air temperature the hatches
of fly were still quite incredible, resulting in swallows and martins hawking over the water in huge numbers. Of course, the fish fed hard too when during the early afternoon the rise intensified. Modest brown trout kept us busy, however, quality grayling could also be had by those prepared to search. They were usually found holding close to deeper water and responded to small spiders or dries presented dead-drift, with fish to 46cm and 30-40cm grayling common.
Beautifull weather, fantastic fishing. JT with his group had all that the San can give. Finally we had what we were waiting for all the time!
